have a moorditj (good) day out in tammin
The Moorditj Day Out festival celebrates the end of two Community Arts Network Western Australia(CAN WA) community arts projects.
Voices of the Wheatbelt wraps up after 8 successful years of working with local rural communities to deliver a variety of arts projects, including oral histories, film making, photography and music healing workshops.
More recently, CAN WA has been running youth-specific hip hop music and dance workshops in Eastern Wheatbelt schools through the Rural Rhythms project.
Both initiatives are part of CAN WA’s Rekindling Stories on Country strategy which aims to use the power of various artistic mediums to preserve, celebrate and honour Noongar culture.
